In this video, we're going to go over invoice settings.
As long as you have admin access you can go to settings, invoice settings, and bring up your invoice settings page.
On this page, you can set the next invoice number and you can also decide whether you want to create a new invoice when a quote is approved. This is very convenient because if you send someone a quote let's say of 300 dollars worth of work when they approve it, this will then create a corresponding invoice for 300 dollars.
You choose your mail template and this will automatically be the mail template that is sent with a link to the invoice that you create. You can create email templates here in marketing, email templates and then they show up in the drop-down and you can choose the one that you want.
Keep in mind these settings are for all invoices that are created in the system. So that'll be the default for everyone.
You can set up payment terms here we have "due upon receipt" and some other options. I could delete these and I can also add more options if I want.
I also have the option of connecting to QuickBooks. You don't have to do that but you can and it makes things very convenient and if I do that I also have the option of sending my invoices via QuickBooks. Now if I do that it'll send them that way instead of using this email template and I will need to track them differently. I'll show you where you tracked them if you send them from here so we'll look in Angela's email in the sent section and look at an invoice that we've sent to her this is the email template that we used and here is a link to her invoice.
And that is how you set up your invoices and where you can view them
