in this video, you'll learn how to create organize and use note templates.
First, you go into CRM and then you click on note templates. You'll notice that there are already a couple of note templates here.
One of them is "left voicemail." You're likely to leave voicemails for your contacts very frequently. So in order to make that quick and easy, you can create a template.
Add a title of the template. "Left Voicemail." You can put a category now and you don't have very many templates. You really don't need categories but down the road, if you get a lot of different templates it can be easier to find them if you categorize them according to how you're going to use them.
Then in the content section, you put something basic here, such as, "left voicemail with" and you put the contact first and last name. These name fields are merge fields and you add those by going up here and clicking on the gears and then you find something like the first name let's say you want to add the job title, You should keep your template pretty basic but when you're actually using the template you can add to it. But this will be our basic template for voicemails,
We'll go and use this in a client record. I'll show you how to use it we'll go to Angela's stone and we'll create a note in her notes. You can see she's got several notes here in this "left voicemail" template that is actually in use here. We'll add another note.
I'm going to go down here and pick "left voicemail" that'll fill in the title for me and we'll fill in this information. Now I can still add to that here when I'm actually using the template. I can add more and say something like a promise to call back tomorrow and maybe I can put this in bold so I can remember that. Then I just click and save and then I'll see that in her notes and that is how you create a note template.
