In this video, you'll learn how to manage quote settings.
To access the quote settings you have to have admin access. If you have access, then you go to the left nav settings and click "quote settings." This takes you to the quote settings page.
The first thing you'll need to do is choose the correct email template. This is the template we will use to send the quote email with a link to the quote to the customer. You can create your email templates by going to marketing email templates. Once you do that they'll be in a list and you can choose your quote email template.
You'll want to put your header logo that will appear in the quote, your next quote number, and your sales tax if you want to put a default sales tax. Keep in mind that whatever you do in this section is global to the account so if you set that default sales tax the user can change it but that is what will show up for everyone who's creating a quote.
There are two layouts for your quotes. One of them has packages and one of them is just line items. The pre-configured packages are very nice because you can very quickly create standard quotes. But sometimes you might want line items so you can create custom quotes as well.
You can uncheck that if you'd rather your users not create those kinds of custom quotes. Otherwise, you can give them options,
This "show learn more about us" section is important because if you uncheck this then none of the information down here you're about the company and any tabs you've added like this special offer details tab they won't show up unless this is checked. So that's something to keep in mind.
You can also check or uncheck your shipping costs whether you want those in the quote and whether or not you want to use a quote video. You can choose YouTube Vimeo or Wistia as your video provider and you can put in a default video here. This is just a Tesla cyber truck for an example for our demo. But you might have a short ad or something like that that you put in here for your company.
Also, some companies like to allow for an individual video so for example if you're quoting some work on someone's home maybe you take a short video of what needs to be done and you put that in this section. That's something you can do but this would be the default whatever you put here is the default that will come up in the quote. You can also put some kind of description for the video.
There is some pricing that will only apply to some businesses but if your business does pricing by the square foot, for example. You can include something about your company. Whatever you want here this might be. In this case, this is just generic because it's a demo. But it might be your company flyer.
When you have this the way you want it everything looks good you click "save" and I'll show you real quick how it looks for the customer.
We'll go into the CRM contacts and we'll look at a quote for Angela stone in the Quick Links. I'm going to click preview and show you there's the logo and there's the default video. See how nice the pricing packages are now because I have that box checked, I also have this learn more about a section and I have the description I put in there as well as that graphic on the second tab, But if I uncheck that just remember this actually won't be there. None of the sections will appear.
The person can leave their notes and sign if they like and that is how the quote settings work.
