In this video, you'll learn how to use emojis in emails and text messages.
Start by going to the CRM contacts and choosing a "contact." Here I'll choose Angela Stone and go to her emails, Notice that her mailbox comes up and her name is in the breadcrumbs and that's quick menu Quick Links menu shows up here as well.
There are three tabs inbox, drafts, and sent. If I click on one of the emails it'll show up in this right pane. You can see some labels that help you track what's happening with an email. We see an email that was opened and in this case, the other person responded.
In this box, you will see all of the email correspondence between Angela and any of the users in the system. Here we have in the sent box we have some more statuses. "Delivered" is another status if the email is sent and the person hasn't done anything with it yet.
The label will read "delivered" but if it's a bad email address for example and it doesn't get delivered it'll have a red label will read, "failed." Then we see "responded" and "opened" again. Another status can be "clicked" which is when somebody opens the email and clicks on a link there.
You can reply on the sent tab You can also reply from the inbox and you can compose an email in the composer. You can search by someone's name and add a CC you can also add a blind copy the same way.
If you want you can just write your email from scratch or you can choose a template. I'm going to choose this template it fills in the subject and it fills in the body which I can then customize.
We have a first name merge field which you would get that from clicking the gears in the upper right and choosing your merge field. Click on the field you want and it will be copied to your clipboard. Then you paste it where you want it and can do some fancy formatting if you like.
You can do bold or italic can add links and lists for example. I could take all this text and make it really big. So you have quite a few formatting options.
You can also add files so if you had a PDF you wanted somebody to look at you could send that with this email. When you have this the way you want it you just click send or if you want to come back later and finish you can click save a draft. In this case, I'm just going to delete this draft.
Notice in the draft folder already has some emails. Theses drafts will be auto-saved if you start an email and you don't discard it or send it, or you can deliberately save it as a draft. When you want to be rid of your drafts you just click discard draft and it's gone.
So that's how an individual contacts email box works. But you can also access emails from all of your contacts by going to marketing > emails. Now you can see it looks very similar except the compose button isn't here because that's available only in the context of sending an email to a specific person.
Also, a person's inbox shows emails for all contacts but in the combined inbox, you're the only user so you'll only see your correspondence with your contacts.
In the sent box, you can see that Angela is there but there's also Adam. His email is here too. You can also see that it failed because this is not a valid email address.
I can't compose a new email but I can reply to all of my contact's existing emails here.
That is how you create and manage email
